When another doctor, Reynard, asks him to help with a delusional female patient, Gabe is reluctant... until he meets her. At first Gabe thinks the woman, Angelina, is merely terrified of Reynard, but he quickly discovers she is not quite what she seems.

As his relationship with Angelina deepens, Gabe's life in Paris becomes increasingly unstable. He senses a presence watching and following every move he makes, and yet he finds Angelina increasingly irresistible.

When Angelina tells Gabe he must kill her and flee to a place she calls Morgravia, he is horrified. But then Angelina shows him that the cathedral he has dreamt about since childhood is real and exists in Morgravia.

A special 10th Anniversary edition of her first fantasy book, Myrren's Gift, will be released in December!

Rituals for the Solstice

For thousands of years, the ceremony at mid-winter solstice has been the most important of the yearly festivals. It is a turning point, symbolic of endings and new beginnings. In the southern hemisphere, we go to bed June 21 and experience the longest night of the year. The sun ‘dies’ to be reborn the next morning as it crosses 0 degrees of Cancer.  From then on, the days begin to lengthen and all is renewed.

One way to celebrate this event is to light candles on the eve of June 21st, sit in a circle and throw our old stories into a pot. This is symbolic of letting go of all the things we tell ourselves and each other that no longer serve us. We’ve heard these statements so often they have become patterns of belief: I can’t get paid for doing what I love. All the good ones are taken. I have to work hard to get anywhere. There is never enough . . . Whatever stories we tell that are holding us back, into the pot it goes. Then blow out all the candles and meditate in silence and darkness.

When the candles are relit, music, food and new stories are shared—stories that are full of hope and possibility: There is always enough. My art supports me well. There are more ‘good ones’ available every day . . . And so it begins. Hail to the new sun!

RAM: Clean the house, wash the windows, clear the air, especially with family. Ask: is your home a true reflection of you?

AUROCHS: Start a new course of study, join a community project, get friendly with the written or spoken word. Ask: is there anything you’d like to learn?

TWINS: Indulge yourself in sensuality –baths, long walks, massage, fine food, good vistas. Ask: Do you know the world by touch?

COBRA: This is a new chapter in your life. Open the door to your dreams by showing up! Ask: is your life an accurate reflection of who you want to be?

LION: Commune with your unconscious. Take time to record and reflect on your dreams. Ask: are you deep in the well of your creative heart?

CERES: Friends and likeminded others are a source of inspiration if you’re hanging out with your own kind! Ask: are these birds really of your feathers?

BALENCIA: Your career takes a turn for the better with a chance to take on more responsibility for greater reward. Ask: Do you light up in a smile when you think of your life work?

SCORPION: Take your mind, body or spirit somewhere it’s never been before—meditate, travel, read, learn. Ask: are you holding yourself back from your real dreams?

ARCHER: Intimacy and intensity is what will like your fire now. Go ahead and take a risk. Ask: are you playing it safe with your emotions?

SEA-GOAT: Partnership is the focus and you will benefit by assessing the relationships in your life. Ask: do you feel free to be who you are?

WATER-BEARER: Putting energy into the body, health and physical wellbeing brings great results! Ask: are you getting enough exercise every day?

FISHES: Creativity springs from a well of romance. Write, play, choreograph, sing, act. Ask: are you allowing for love in your heart.

Scorpio Full Moon

‘Her only friend the moon’ by Alexander Jansson

L.A. – Tuesday May 17 04:10
NEW YORK – Tuesday May 17 07:10
LONDON – Tuesday May 17 12:10
SYDNEY – Tuesday May 17 21:10

ARIES: This is a saint vs. sinner full moon activating your intense and immediate desires to get what you want, NOW. The key is to lighten up on Self judgment, no matter what your thoughts, and take a moment of introspection. The journey can be just as profound directed in as out. Hint: Be your own best cheering squad!

TAURUS: Suddenly there is suspicion around an agreement or commitment made some months ago. You thought it was settled, all in harmony but a glitch appears and the first reaction is to point the finger. Deep breaths! Allow your intuition to surface and have a say. Words and evidence are not relevant here. Hint: Trust the uncertainty. Completely!

GEMINI: Work/daily routine takes on a new face, one of intensity and dreamy adventure. This is not a time to look at the facts or focus over long on ‘reality.’ You gain much more by exploring your dreams, meditating on new ideas and letting fantasies play out in your mind. Hint: If you had a guardian angel, what would you say it them?

CANCER: The call of your inner child can not be ignored. This is a time to skip, sing, dance and play. Spend time with friends. Take a risk. Speculate. Come out of your shell and enjoy the comfort and security of the people who love you. Hint: There can be no adventure with friends if you don’t reach out your hand. Connection begins with you.

LEO: This is the perfect full moon to spend intimate time one-on-one or with a select group of likeminded others. Entertain in your home even if it’s only an afternoon cuppa. By sharing the ritual of food and drink, you awaken your ancient ties to clan, the Earth and Love. Hint: Who you invite into your life now will help you in quantum leaps!

VIRGO: The generosity of a sibling or someone ‘brethren like’ will astound you. This is a time to open the lines of communication, especially to those who have been cut off. The reasons are in the past, along with the transgression. Who wouldn’t deserve another chance? Hint: The more you release the ‘charge’ the more abundance flows. Let go!

LIBRA: Focusing on money per say isn’t going to bring near the insights unless you understand what $$$ means to YOU. It represents something, an idea, a feeling, a point of ground to stand on. Comprehend that, and you will open the floodgates. Hint: Whatever you think ‘it’ is, look deeper. Let your intuition penetrate this facade!

SCORPIO: Tune into this full moon and you can generate a LOT of power. That’s energy to heal, to understand, to release judgment, to take action. How to tune in? Do something physical, intimate, challenging. Put yourself on the edge. Take a risk with your emotions. Hint: Letting go of anger means deciding to be at peace. Always, you get to decide!

SAGITTARIUS: You may feel a profound sense of privacy this full moon. Instead of reaching out to others and immersing in go go go, much insight is gained by spending a wee bit of time on your own. Discover the beauty in solitary moments. Hint: As you reemerge from your tower of magic and wisdom, the right-for-you crowd gathers, supports.

CAPRICORN: What do you wish for? Goals? Dreams? Get to the bottom of what you want and why you want it. As long as your aims belong to YOU, they are completely reachable. But if they are inherited from other’s expectations . . . Hint: Ask where you would be, who with and doing what, if you could snap your fingers and make it so!

AQUARIUS: If you have to make tough decision that require a ruthless edge or at least a blazing honesty, this is the time to do so. Wielding your power with integrity gets you everywhere! Hint: You may have to deal with or make arrangements for a parent. In this area, sensitivity, intuition and compassion will get you further down the path.

PISCES: The full moon has you longing for distant places, those in other lands, realms of the mind or even the past. In your travels, identify the feeling it is you are searching for. It’s not the land or the realm or the event; it’s a part of you. (what’s the common denominator in all the musings?) Hint: When you know what the feeling is, you are free.

Trees Looking up to the Sun by Anna Leah Designs

ARIES: This is a ‘financial new moon.’ If you want to increase your income or develop latent talents, you’ve all the support in the world, right here and right now!Ask what it is you want to be doing next year. The year after? Aim high! Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into. ~Wayne Dyer

TAURUS: The new moon in your sun sign heralds change! It’s a chance to take a good long look at the four key areas of your life – work, love, home, creative expression. How’s it all going? What would you like to be different. You hold all the cards! A hunch is creativity trying to tell you something. ~Frank Capra

GEMINI: The deeper, secret nature is rising with this new moon. Dreams speak volumes and things in the dark come to light. Invest in a dream/symbol dictionary! It’s a good time for getting in touch with what you really want though a little tricky for clandestine affairs. I allow my intuition to lead my path. ~Manuel Puig

CANCER: A social moon, perfect for making new friends, renewing contacts and getting together with likeminded others. Appreciate the invitations and feeling of warm inclusion. Also remember to enjoy the differences and the boundaries that lie between. A friend doesn’t go on a diet because you are fat. ~Erma Bombeck

LEO: The focus is on career and development in the public eye. If you think you don’t have what it takes, remember, desire trumps experience every time! I probably hold the distinction of being one movie star who, by all laws of logic, should never have made it. At each stage of my career, I lacked the experience. ~Audrey Hepburn

VIRGO: The best way to benefit from this new moon is to awaken the intellectual side of your life. It’s not about analyzing or judging but about becoming more aware, thoughtful and compassionate Nothing contributes so much to tranquilize the mind as a steady purpose – a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye. ~Mary Shelley

LIBRA: This new moon cues action and intention requiring bravery. By taking a risk, the energy shifts and away you go! The fact is, that to do anything in the world worth doing, we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger, but jump in and scramble through as well as we can. ~Robert Cushing

SCOPRIO: The great arrow is pointing towards at joint project, a collaboration of spirit. The key is to not worry if the boat begins to rock. All is well, even now. Very well! If a relationship is going to be a living art form of truth, it always has to be on the edge of chaos, looking at everything fresh- again and again. ~Ram Dass

SAGITTARIUS: This new moon is a reminder to find joy in the little things – the gift that cost nothing but brings a smile. Fun is never dependent on tickets to Paris, you know. I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things… I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. ~Leo F. Buscaglia

CAPRICORN: Consider your healthy ambition. Is it taking priority over food, sleep, exercise, joy? Are you taking care of your body? The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results. ~Anthony Robbins

AQUARIUS: The new moon will find you wildly, thrillingly voraciously ensconced at home. It’s not a traveler’s moon for you. The more one does and sees and feels, the more one is able to do, and the more genuine may be one’s appreciation of fundamental things like home, and love, and understanding companionship. ~Amelia Earhart

PISCES: This new moon is a megaphone for the changes you would like to create in your immediate environment, neighborhood or family. You have ideas. They’re perfect for you. Implement them now. Thinking small is not hard. It’s just a habit. A habit with consequences. Same as THINKING BIG. ~Andy Dooley

Chinese New Year of the Rabbit

Rabbit Under the Harvest Moon by Elizabeth Alexander

New Moon in Aquarius

New York February 2, 21:31
London February 3, 02:31
Sydney February 3, 12:31
LA February 2, 18:31

The year of the Metal Rabbit brings to Earth a piece of the moon—nurturing, protecting, restoring, beguiling. There is a feeling of serenity and frayed nerves are soothed. The Muse awakens! The focus is on environment, Mother Earth and creative expression. Think recycle, plant, adopt, express, love, connect, vision. Negotiate peace. Do what you can to make someone’s life more beautiful, beginning with your own.

RAM: The Year of the Rabbit may seem like a slow one especially in career and finances. Patience. The best approach is to focus on a few things as opposed to scattering energy. Pick what’s really important and put energy there. Health and fitness require attention. Look for the hidden messages. They will direct you.

AUROCHS: The year of the Rabbit is for finding peace and serenity. All action that stems from this state will work out well in career, finances and health. Work and relationship life overlap so create solid, practical and fulfilling connections on all fronts. Aurochs may find that making a magic list will bring positive change.

TWINS: In the year of the Rabbit, career and finances take a wild leap upward as long as you aren’t trying too hard! Seriously, relax! Your creativity can reach a ‘wider audience’ when you focus on the art and let the rest take care of itself. Think global marketing and improved public image! Onwards and upwards!

COBRA: Year of the Rabbit brings the feeling of accomplishment and creative fulfilment. All you have to do is believe in yourself and your career, mission or profession. Do you love what you do? That’s the key. If you aren’t in your dream job and dream money flow, make changes early this year. Mid-March 2011!

LION: In the year of the Rabbit, the key phrase is ‘don’t force it.’ If it feels like you have to work until you snap, it’s not going to deliver the results you want. Go with the gentle approach and that means being easy on yourself. Respectful. Stop measuring by external standards an open your heart. Grand year ahead!

CERES: The year of the Rabbit holds much promise for Virgo. This is a year to allow things to unfold in the grace of their own time. No rush. You can use the rules of magic though, and that will have a profound effect on your year ahead. Relationships improve – old ones shape up or a new potential comes into view.

BALENCIA: The year of the Rabbit is supportive for Libra, especially when you remember the secret of charm. By being the leader, and not the follower or chaser, opportunities arise in career, finances and creativity. Remember you get what you expect. A special someone steps up and your best stance is appreciation.

SCORPION: The year of the Rabbit can start out slow and your efforts to make changes put you off. But remember what you have accomplished! There is more to come when you lift your spirit and think optimistic. Love and romance will brighten your smile the moment you get out of the old love story. Much to celebrate!

ARCHER: The year of the Rabbit is one of great success as long as you don’t get needy about instant results. Seriously, desperation only gets more of the same so lighten up. You don’t have to grasp for finances and career advancement, or the perfect relationship. Go with the flow is the most powerful approach in 2011.

SEA-GOAT: The year of the Rabbit brings fabulous news for Capricorn. Difficult family situations start to work out for the better and career changes made in 2010 now pay off. Co-creative projects are especially favoured and you can expect the financial rewards to increase. Romance blossoms. What a year!

WATER-BEARER: In the year of the Rabbit, Aquarius makes improvement in career and finances IF they get over a ting of jealousy. Focusing on envy is only going to slow things down. Rabbit year is one to cultivate multiple streams of income, improve relationships and make bigger plans for the future.

FISHES: In the year of the Rabbit the first thing to focus on is improving relationships – family, love and at work. If single, relax. The trick is to not think of how much to’ work at it’ but how you can get what you want without lifting a finger! It is definitely a case of doing what you love and trusting that all else will follow!

FISHES: Let go of the past. Do it now. Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. AUROCHS: Time to put energy into your latent talents. If your life isn’t supporting your future, it’s time for a change. Think what it is you would do if no one else had a say. Initiate along those lines after January 4th!

TWINS: This moon is in your sign brining fresh perspective on all four corners–you, home, career, relationship. It’s pretty basic: let go of what isn’t working and prepare to usher in the life you’ve always wanted to live.
