Her latest book, The Scrivener's Tale, is a stand-alone and takes us back to the world of Morgravia from her very first series, The Quickening:

    About The Scrivener's Tale:

In the bookshops and cafes of present-day Paris, ex-psychologist Gabe Figaret is trying to put his shattered life back together. When another doctor, Reynard, asks him to help with a delusional female patient, Gabe is reluctant... until he meets her. At first Gabe thinks the woman, Angelina, is merely terrified of Reynard, but he quickly discovers she is not quite what she seems.

As his relationship with Angelina deepens, Gabe's life in Paris becomes increasingly unstable. He senses a presence watching and following every move he makes, and yet he finds Angelina increasingly irresistible.

When Angelina tells Gabe he must kill her and flee to a place she calls Morgravia, he is horrified. But then Angelina shows him that the cathedral he has dreamt about since childhood is real and exists in Morgravia.

A special 10th Anniversary edition of her first fantasy book, Myrren's Gift, will be released in December!

  1. George R.R. announces A Dance with Dragons out July! « Voyager Online…

Here at World Spinner we are debating the same thing……

  2. This is exciting news. I hope it actually gets released this time. They have previously teased us with release in 2007, 2008 and 2009. This sounds like it will happen this time though.

  3. Hm. Well, it isn’t April 1st, so… HOORAY!

    At last!

And I don’t mean to whine or brag, but I wrote and published two entire trilogies in the time it took Mr Martin to finish this one book. Good grief.

    • Er, looking back, I realised that that comment may have sounded a tad on the cocky side. I really didn’t mean to come across that way; that was me reflecting – with some astonishment – on just how much time has really passed. Not just since Mr Martin started writing Dance, but since I first started with this publishing thing.

      *shakes head slowly*

  4. Can you confirm it will be in Australia on July 12?
Or do I need to get on Amazon?
