Her latest book, The Scrivener's Tale, is a stand-alone and takes us back to the world of Morgravia from her very first series, The Quickening:

    About The Scrivener's Tale:

In the bookshops and cafes of present-day Paris, ex-psychologist Gabe Figaret is trying to put his shattered life back together. When another doctor, Reynard, asks him to help with a delusional female patient, Gabe is reluctant... until he meets her. At first Gabe thinks the woman, Angelina, is merely terrified of Reynard, but he quickly discovers she is not quite what she seems.

As his relationship with Angelina deepens, Gabe's life in Paris becomes increasingly unstable. He senses a presence watching and following every move he makes, and yet he finds Angelina increasingly irresistible.

When Angelina tells Gabe he must kill her and flee to a place she calls Morgravia, he is horrified. But then Angelina shows him that the cathedral he has dreamt about since childhood is real and exists in Morgravia.

A special 10th Anniversary edition of her first fantasy book, Myrren's Gift, will be released in December!

The New Moon brings all things desirable … by Kim Falconer

'The dragon pleasure' by Jacek Yerka

New Moon Times:

London – May 14 at 2.05
Sydney – May 14 at 11.05
New York – May 13 at 21.05

RAM: The new Moon in Taurus gets you in touch with your desires, right down to the core. Make choices that propel you towards the life you want to live. If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. ~ Maya Angelou

AUROCHS: This is a new moon to delight the soul. It’s the perfect time to recount all the things you appreciate, real and imagined. Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living. ~Anais Nin

TWINS: Take some time off this week to go a little zany! I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life’s ‘realities’. ~Theodor Geisel (Dr Seuss)

COBRA: The new moon shines a light on your circle of friends. Time to tend the garden, pull the weeds and fertilize the flowers. A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often – just to save it from drying out completely. ~Pam Brown

LION: There are reasons for holding back, waiting for the ‘right’ moment to ask the question, pursue the dream, make the change, but none of those reasons really have anything to do with the business of living. I couldn’t wait for success, so I went ahead without it. ~Jonathan Winters

CERES: This new moon is a blast of creative inspiration. Express, express, express! Even in literature and art, no one who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it. ~C.S. Lewis

BALENCIA: When it comes to making choices, this new moon offers you the greatest support, and that is let go . . . As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit. ~Emmanuel Teney

SCORPION: Personal relationships are brought to the foreground with this new moon. You may find yourself boxed in, but that is only a limiting belief. There are choices you haven’t even thought of yet. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

ARCHER: If you find your daily life is losing its shine, wearing thin and feeling uninspiring, guess what? Time for some creative change. It’s up to you to get every ounce of joy you can from this existence! Go to it! Any idiot can face a crisis – it’s day to day living that wears you out. ~Anton Chekhov

SEA-GOAT: The new moon is brimming with delight and a feeling of contentment. You don’t have to do anything or achieve anything to be happy. Just decide, now! I have a simple philosophy: Fill what’s empty. Empty what’s full. Scratch where it itches. ~Alice Roosevelt Longworth

WATER-BEARER: The new moon is a grand time to make intentions though you may want to keep your focus on the here and now. This is enough – a breath in, a breath out. See what it’s like when you don’t look for anything more. Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. ~Buddha

FISHES: The new moon is rich with sensuality – touch, taste, scent, beauty. Let your body speak. . . . if you’re alive you’ve got to flap your arms and legs, you’ve got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at the very least think noisy and colorfully, or you’re not alive. ~Mel Brooks

Kim Falconer lives in Byron Bay with two gorgeous black cats.
