She has since roamed the world working for her own travel publishing company, which she runs with her husband. She lives in Adelaide with her husband and twin sons. Her latest book, The Scrivener's Tale, is a stand-alone and takes us back to the world of Morgravia from her very first series, The Quickening:

    About The Scrivener's Tale:

In the bookshops and cafes of present-day Paris, ex-psychologist Gabe Figaret is trying to put his shattered life back together. When another doctor, Reynard, asks him to help with a delusional female patient, Gabe is reluctant... until he meets her. At first Gabe thinks the woman, Angelina, is merely terrified of Reynard, but he quickly discovers she is not quite what she seems.

As his relationship with Angelina deepens, Gabe's life in Paris becomes increasingly unstable. He senses a presence watching and following every move he makes, and yet he finds Angelina increasingly irresistible.

When Angelina tells Gabe he must kill her and flee to a place she calls Morgravia, he is horrified. But then Angelina shows him that the cathedral he has dreamt about since childhood is real and exists in Morgravia.

A special 10th Anniversary edition of her first fantasy book, Myrren's Gift, will be released in December!

Kim Falconer’s Astro-Mojo for Jan 19-25

RAM: If you shift focus from the problems of your romantic life to the delights, it will greatly improve. By undue profundity we perplex and enfeeble thought; it is possible to make even Venus herself vanish from the firmament by a scrutiny too sustained, too concentrated, or too direct. –Edgar Allan Poe

AUROCHS: This week promises a bouquet of radiant experiences, opportunities and chance meetings. All you have to do is stay put for a while and think contented thoughts. I was something that lay under the sun and felt it, like the pumpkins, and I did not want to be anything more. I was entirely happy. –Willa Cather

TWINS: This week’s Jupiter into Pisces encourages you to leave reticence behind. If your intuition says yes, you can do it, and I don’t mean ‘repeat the pattern!’ It is not inertia alone that is responsible for human relationships repeating themselves. . . it is shyness before any sort of new, unforeseeable experience with which one does not think oneself able to cope. – Rainer Rilke

COBRA: You may feel restless, edgy in the company of a predictable daily grind. Serenity and grace are on your side. Give them time. Do you have the patience to wait till the mud settles and the water clears? Can you remain unmoving till the right action arises by itself? -Tao Te Ching

LION: This week you’re drawn into debate at every turn. This may work in your favour, if you are completely confident of your virtues and vision. If fear and doubt gnaw around the edges, don’t feed them undue thought. Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they’re yours. -Richard Bach

CERES: It’s a myth that certain things must be done with prescribed methodology for you to get what you want. What counts is your clear, relaxed and carefree intention! An ancient adept said: ‘If the wrong man uses the right means, the right means work in the wrong way.’ Little or nothing depends on the method. –Carl Jung

BALENCIA: Dwelling on the past has its drawbacks right now. Keep your mind on what feels exquisite. My spirits were elevated by the enchanting appearance of nature; the past was blotted from my memory, and the future gilded by bright rays of hope and anticipations of joy. –Mary Shelly

SCORPION: An excellent memory in not your best ally if you nurture every past hurt or infringement. Try feeding joy instead. Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten. -Buddha

ARCHER: This is a good week to review you aims and goals. What have you achieved? What more is there you want? Get a day planner and get busy! Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth. We are happy when we are growing. – William Butler Yeats

SEA-GOAT: It can be tricky at times to understand the nature of life. This week you need to explore the elements not measured with the five senses. An independent reality, in the ordinary physical sense, can neither be ascribed to the phenomena nor to the agencies of observation. – Neils Bohr

WATER-BEARER: A challenge within the group arises when you’re asked to conform—your intuition may be bucking for freedom, for yourself and/or others. Can you follow you inner voice? I don’t judge others. I say if you feel good with what you’re doing, let your freak flag fly.  – Sarah Jessica Parker

FISHES: Jupiter in your sign for a year brings an abundance of emotional energy to your door. It may require you to let go and dance! It was as though the room were instantly flooded with water. After a moment’s hesitation first one couple, then another, leapt into mid-stream, and went round and round in the eddies. –Virginia Woolf
